We woke up relatively late, at around 10. went out at around 10.45 to get to tamago ya (蛋蛋屋) at xmd area. The shop only opens at 11am, so we went to walk around xmd area. The food in that place is fabulous! If u love eggs, u will definitely love that place.

The dessert is yummy too, innovative new creations. Cornflakes with ice-cream, and grape-flavoured 果冻 with ice-cream. super nice.

After our lunch, we proceed to walk/shop around xmd area. Things over there are expensive. Very highly unlikely that u can bargain, but can try. I tried in 1 of the jewelry shop, and it worked. Thats where the art of whining comes in. In Taiwan, u will realised that no matter guy or gal, all of them talk in a whiny tone. Its their natural way of speaking and communicating, so had to 入乡随俗. I learnt it pretty fast, so can whine to the shop people. Haa.. It works very well, the price will definitely drop de. Bleahz. I can teach if u want to learn. Ha!

We then took MRT to taipei main station to shop at the underground mall there. Madness siah. The stuffs there are cheap and good. Don’t even need to bargain. Shorts at S$7-9, tops at S$5-8, shoes at S$10 and boots at S$15-25. OMG! Go where find such good deal in sg?! We all bought alot over at that place, till the extent that we had to chiong back to our hotel to put our stuff.

Our next item is the miramar ferris wheel.

Absolutely worth the effort to make it to that place. Tried to take some photos on their city lights at night, but it was blurred. Boo! The glass window will reflect if i turn on flash. But without flash, i cannot move if not it will be blurred. Either way, the pictures won’t do justice to the beautiful sights that we saw. Come see and experience it for yourself ba.

Finally our highlight of the day! Shihlin NM. Whoa~ Bargain and more bargain. But shop till u drop. Maze-like streets, with all kinds of stalls selling all kinds of stuff. So much to walk The much-raved about shihlin NM was a little disappointment, as i expected even more things with even cheaper price. (don’t worry, thats because we walked on the wrong side of the shihlin NM, on our 2nd last day, the part of shihlin NM that we went to was great!) The NM closes at 2am. So even at 12 midnight, the NM is still full of life with many people around shopping. We shopped till 1am, then all got tired. We took a cab back to our hotel. Even with midnight surcharge and all, its still cheap. Whee~
